At Sofitel Legend The Grand Amsterdam, Oriole Garden Bistro brings a Mediterranean spirit to the city’s historic centre. Greenery, seasonal dishes and a welcoming atmosphere invite you to slow down, gather and stay a little longer.
Our name is inspired by the golden oriole, a bird whose colour and leafy surroundings reflect the bright, natural character of the bistro.

Our apricot trees anchor the garden, heralding spring with pale blossom before bearing sweet, sun-warmed fruit for the pastry kitchen, house glazes and summer aperitivos.
Honey from the rooftop
Honey from the hotel’s rooftop beehives is used in our seasonal cooking.
Rainwater for the garden
Collected rainwater is filtered and used to irrigate the garden, delivering water directly to the roots through a subsurface system.
